The September Eat Local Month is back! This month was created by Sustainable Connections to showcase the work of local farmers, fishers, ranchers, chefs, restauranteurs, and grocers. Each week one of these groups will be featured, starting out with farmers. This first week will start tomorrow and will go until September 7th. Encouraged activities for this week include visiting a local farm stand, going to u-pick apples and pumpkin patches, biking the Edible Everson bike tour, attend a virtual event celebrating the launch of the new book Tomatoes for Neela, and more! Make sure to follow Eat Local First NW (@eatlocalfirstnw) on social media to follow updates including weekly prize giveaways and chances to enter to win a grand prize worth over $350!
