Whatcom READS: African American Poetry – Bellingham WA

Whatcom READS will be showcasing author Esi Edugyan in their next virtual event. Edugyan’s book “Washington Black” is this year’s community one-read selection. This event will also have a discussion moderated by Dr. Bill Lyne, a coordinator of African American Studies at Western Washington University. This discussion will bring up themes of race and belonging and how we need to honor the voices of Black writers. This event will be on February 5th and will be from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
