Birch Bay Derby Day Returns This Weekend

Looking for something fun to do in Birch Bay this weekend? Birch Bay Derby Day brings a full day of activities to the bay, with events for both participants and spectators.

This year’s Derby Day includes the Pinewood Derby, Poker Run, Billy Brown’s Crab Derby and the Duck Derby.

Saturday’s schedule includes:

• Pinewood Derby — 11:00 AM–12:30 PM
• Poker Run — 1:00–3:00 PM
• Billy Brown’s Crab Derby — judging from 4:00–7:00 PM
• Duck Derby — approximately 6:00 PM, depending on the tide

The Duck Derby supports the Friends of the Birch Bay Library, and activities take place at locations around Birch Bay.

Whether you’re competing or just heading down to enjoy the beach, local businesses and festivities, it should be a fun way to spend a late-summer Saturday in Birch Bay.
